TownSpirit started at a concession stand. Watching a school booster club turn away sale after sale because families didn't carry cash — and knowing the technology to fix it existed, it just wasn't built for them — was the moment this became something worth building.
Peck, Michigan (population ~600) became the first pilot. If we could build something that worked for a small rural school with volunteers who had never used a card reader before, it would work anywhere. That's still our standard.
